Isabella Barnes was the eldest daughter of Mary and Nathanael Barnes. She was born on October 28, 1679, and passed away on September 8, 1680, at 10-and-a-half months old in Boston, Massachusetts. Isabella's body was interred at King's Chapel Cemetery in downtown Boston. She is located in Row 20, Section D, Number 435. Her grave was previously unmarked before this project.

Isabella's younger sister, Abigail Barnes, was born 7 months after her death on April 2, 1681. 

Isabella's younger brother, Benjamin Barnes, was born a year and a half after her death on March 30, 1682. Isabella's mother, Mary Barnes, passed away four days after giving birth to Benjamin. Mary was buried near her daughter, Isabella, at King's Chapel Cemetery in Boston, Massachusetts. Mary is located in Row 19, Section D, Number 419. Her tombstone inscription technique strongly reflects what is seen on Isabella's tombstone.
