Hi! My name is Isabella Russomanno, and I am a senior journalism & philosophy B.A. student at DePaul University. My double major keeps me trained on pursuing truth by asking fundamental questions about our common human experience. I was born and raised in Chicago.

Currently, I’m the news editor of The DePaulia. Previously, I was the assistant copy editor and covered weekly student government meetings. I also write about issues in Chicago politics and personal finance. I've shot photos and videos for a variety of stories. This past summer, I was an investigative intern at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

I also serve as president of DePaul’s Society of Professional Journalists chapter, the only student chapter in Chicago. In that role, I plan panel discussions, workshops, and networking events that create a space for students to explore their media interests.

I’d like to pursue a career in local investigative reporting. Any reporting with FOIA requests, PACER checks, and holding the government to account fuels my fire, but I am also passionate about photojournalism and am actively pursuing multimedia projects.
