The following materials were assembled for a semester long, 300-level, online course in linguistic typology taught at the University of Arizona in the Spring semester of 2018.
Note: This course was designed around two textbooks, Velupillai (2012), 'An Introduction to Linguistic Typology,' and Whaley (1997), 'Introduction to Typology: The Unity and Diversity of Language.' Some of the lesson tutorials below are based on these works and may use examples drawn from these textbooks. If examples from either book appear in other instructional materials, I have tried to cite them more specifically.
I've chosen not to link directly to the homework assigned in this class, as some of the questions are copyrighted and others are questions which I use in assessments.
