Saludos,
Together, the UFT and the educators we represent support New York City public school students as they learn, grow and achieve. In response to the challenges that families are facing, we're offering free Saturday enrichment classes for students of all grades this December.
These 90-minute virtual classes, held over three consecutive Saturdays, will be engaging, creative and fun. They're designed to reinforce the skills your children are learning during the week and help boost their academic progress in this difficult school year.
This program has something for every age group. Your child might attend a virtual field trip, run a science experiment, learn computer gaming or engage in the dramatic arts.
All the classes are developed and presented by education experts at the UFT Teacher Center, who offer top-tier professional development for our members.
Here are the details:
· The three-part program runs Dec. 5, 12 and 19.
· You can register your child for the 9:30 a.m. sessions or the 11:15 a.m. sessions.
· These enrichment classes are separated into six age groups: 3K to pre-K, pre-K to kindergarten, kindergarten to grade 1, grades 2-3, grades 4-5, grades 6-8 and grades 9-12.
Spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so register soon. When you register, if you have a question or a concern, please click on the tab that says, "Ask a Question," and submit it.
We hope your children will be able to join us!
Sincerely,
Nicholas Cruz, UFT Director of Community and Parent Outreach
Michael Mulgrew, UFT President

Even though FDNY CPR classes are currently postponed, we encourage New Yorkers to take the time during National CPR and AED Awareness Week to watch this #FDNYSmart video to gain an overall awareness of hands-only CPR, and to learn how #CPRSavesLives
Visit www.fdnysmart.org/connect to watch the full presentation. Use these safety tips when performing Hands Only CPR, and remember that early recognition and action improve chances of survival and recovery for victims of cardiac arrest
