In her visual works, Iryna Beschetnova focuses on the themes of physicality and the female gaze through experimentation with shapes and mediums, as well as on the artistic exploration and surrealist ideas, often monochrome, but also in color.

LOVE ГОΛЕ Collective Exhibition
Artists: Eva Alvor, Iryna Beschetnova, Valeriia Buchuk, Viktoriia Teletien, Violetta Terlyha
Intellias Art Point Gallery, Lviv, Ukraine
Self-curation
For Iryna Beschetnova, working with corporeality is a way of accepting others' bodies through drawing, as well as an incentive to experiment with materials in search of the most accurate "bodily texture."
In the presented works, the artist aims to make non-conventional bodily beauty visible through material. In her Visible series, using the method of hand-embossing on foamiran, the author creates monochrome bas-reliefs, making female forms that do not fit into glossy canons revealed through volume.
MY RELATIONSHIPS SERIES
2026
Cutout Collage Festival
Lviv Municipal Art Center, Ukraine
Curator: Katya Syta
My Relationships explores intimacy through imagined characters He and She. Collage becomes a way of assembling relationships from fragments: bodies, distance, touch, and the ways we imagine one another.
The figures represent roles and images that emerge within relationships. The combination of different materials and textures emphasizes this instability: intimacy can be tender, strange, physical, or slightly detached at the same time.
I'LL BECOME EARTH SERIES
2026
Living conditions in Ukraine, a country at war, make thoughts of death pervasive, terrifying, and mundane all at once. The deaths of people in the news are filled with the names of familiar for the artist Ukrainian cities and villages. Videos and photos shock her no less than the growing numbers at first. Eventually, only the most horrific footage and massive statistics trigger emotions. The sharp anxiety about surviving until tomorrow turns into indifference and background noise over time. Death becomes the reality of an entire country. Yet, despite this reality, famous The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living (Damien Hirst) remains an impossibility for the artist's realization as well.
The first artist's impulse for creating this project was a video showing the search for the remains of fallen soldiers. It depicted the raw process of literally sifting the soil through fingers to find the smallest part left of a person. And those parts were found.
The second artist's impulse was attending a gathering called The School of Death. This initiative, created by the Ukrainian organization Insha Osvita, takes the form of discussions about death among participants willing to join the conversation.
In this project the artist's own finitude, which still feels abstract to her despite the well-known facts and the reality of war, is finally examined up close. This is a release of artist's thoughts about death from suppression.
This is a process of reflection that does not claim to be complete, but only to be a process.
REPRODUCTION OF (HAPPINESS) BODIES SERIES

Through the reproduction of her works, Iryna Beschetnova tries to recreate her state before russian full-scale invasion, when the artist could allow herself to create works without a complex ideas behind, turning off analytics and surrendering to the flow, experimenting with line and shape, moving along the path of accepting others through physicality. The drawings have been reproduсted, but is it possible to reproduct that state?
