Who are we looking for?
Youth who are passionate about migrant worker causes in Singapore and are interested to design and run a project in one of the following areas:
Volunteering at our free-store inspIRRe
Take on a regular shift to support our daily operations at inspIRRe. Only applicable to those aged 16 years old and above. If interested, please contact nextgen@itsrainingraincoats.com.
Note: We do not encourage unsupervised participants under the age of 16.
Volunteering at Current IRR Initiatives
MADWish (6 months commitment for students to conduct English classes, or project based support to create teaching materials for MADWish teachers). Sign up link here!
Starbucks Initiative, grab snacks from Starbucks outlet and surprise any workers nearby with little treats! (signups based on IRR's schedule). Sign up link here!
Care pack/ Food Distribution
Care pack and food distribution to migrant workers at dormitories and worksites. Check out our wishlist for donations here!
Note: Transport/ delivery is to be arranged by the project group. IRR will assist to match you with a dormitory or worksite.
Engagement and Outreach
Outings with migrant workers, get to know more about them through hangouts. (subject to IRR's guidelines)
In-person activities at Recreational Centres, arrange a sports day or carnival with our Migrant brothers! (subject to IRR's guidelines)

What is required of all project groups?
You will need to form your own groups of 3-5, and nominate a project lead.
You should already have a project idea in mind (based on the list above). You will be required to submit a description of your project idea in the sign-up form.
Once onboarded, groups will be required to submit a detailed project proposal, to be reviewed by your assigned mentor and IRR within six weeks. Only project propoals that have been approved can be executed.
Teams will need to be proactive, enthusiastic, independent yet good team players who are able to commit to see through an entire project (based on the requirements of your own initiative).
Suitable for Secondary/ Tertiary students (including Post-Secondary e.g. JC, Poly, MI, ITE, IB and University).

Research on migrant worker related issues
