Makan with Migrant Workers

How to Participate:

1. Please reach out to one of our lead volunteers listed below:

2. Our volunteers will request details such as the proposed date, time, venue, and the number of workers you wish to host (either at a restaurant or at home).

3. Once the necessary information is gathered, the opportunity will be shared with potential workers.

4. After enough workers have signed up, a volunteer will connect you with the workers and continue to facilitate the process as needed.

5. If the workers consent, you may take photos during the event and send the stories and photos to our volunteers. We will then share them on our Facebook and Instagram pages.

How to Participate:

1. Please email inspirre@itsrainingraincoats.com with the number of workers you would like to sponsor. A rough estimate is $10 per person.

2. Our team will identify an interested dormitory or worksite based on your budget.

3. You may choose to either:

   • Donate the funds to IRR for us to place the order and arrange delivery on your behalf, or

   • Make payment and liaise directly with the caterer of your choice, or one suggested by us.

4. If the workers consent, we will share photos of their meal session with you. Please note that sessions such as Iftar are private, so we may not be able to provide photos.

5. Kindly note that personal distribution is not permitted in most dormitories and worksites and therefore cannot be arranged.
