Student Research Findings
How are sleep, hydration, diet, and sports participation associated with symptom frequency in high school students?
This project used an anonymous survey to explore relationships between lifestyle factors and symptoms commonly reported by students.
Participants were students who voluntarily completed the survey. Responses were collected without identifying information to protect privacy.
The survey collected information about lifestyle factors including sleep duration, water intake, iron-rich food frequency, sports participation, and awareness of iron health.
To analyze patterns, a symptom score was created by adding the number of reported symptoms for each participant, including fatigue, difficulty concentrating, headaches, dizziness, and other reported symptoms. These scores were then compared across different lifestyle groups to identify trends.
This graph shows how average symptom scores change across different sleep durations.
This graph shows how often iron-rich foods are eaten compared to symptom scores.
This graph compares symptom scores between students who participate in sports and those who do not.
This graph compares hydration levels with average symptom scores.
This study identifies patterns and relationships but does not prove that one factor causes another.
