Welcome to my website! My name is Iris Abo, and I am currently a senior at Dublin Coffman High School. Here, I included key parts of who I am, from my hobbies to my life at school. Recently, my favorite pass-times include visiting cafes, starting a new art project, cooking/ baking, visiting the local cat shelter, and spending time with my friends. Two unexpected hobbies of mine are paddleboarding and hiking.
Although I am unsure of what direction I want to take my career in, I am excited to explore my passions to find one fit for my future. I would prefer a profession where I can be creative, though!
One of my biggest values is diversity and inclusion. As someone who is half Japanese and half White/ American, I would love to see a world where everyone is comfortable with their own identity.
My mom is a college professor, and she asked me to create a cover for her class "Media Engagement for Democratic Citizenship".
during my freshman year of high school, I got the opportunity to participate in a design contest to make a school sweatshirt. I somehow managed to win, and now see the sweatshirt all around the school, and even outside.
In my English class, we were assigned a satire project, where I was able to use charcoal to draw my topic of animal testing. This made it into our school's Lit Mag.
