Taste of Coffman- students bring in samplings of food offered to the whole school for multicultural day. I always make takoyaki (savory pancake balls) live, which is very fun.

In the African Library Project, we work to build libraries in Africa. We do this by collecting used books from our students, as well as bookstores such as half priced books. We then sort, package, and weigh them to be sent to Africa. We also hold a fundraiser competition to raise enough money for shipping and other fees. At the end of the school year, we celebrate our accomplishments with an annual pizza party.
Member, participated 11th and 12th grade
In link club, we work to help new students adapt to the school. We do this by being paired up with a new student, and walking them to their classes, as well as introducing them to the school in general. We also meet monthly to participate in group activities together, to build a community. I am in charge of the Japanese students, as Coffman has been experiencing an increase in the number of Japanese students who are more comfortable speaking in Japanese.
