This paper discussed the basic characteristics of Gagne’s Theory of Instruction, particularly emphasizing the Nine Events of Instruction. Gaining attention, informing learners of the objectives, stimulating recall of prior learning, presenting the content, providing learning guidance, eliciting performance, providing feedback, assessing performance, and enhancing retention.Â
This personal theory worksheet highlights an introduction to captioning training that is aimed to be facilitated in person. The training includes interactive activities and short simulation to have learners get a better understanding on the importance of video captions. Â
