We specialize in comprehensive assessments, consultations and treatment in different developmental areas. Our tools are carefully chosen to target areas of strength as well as concern. This helps provide the most accurate profile of the child’s strengths as well as challenges that may be contributing to their developmental and behavior difficulties. During the consultation or initial meeting of the evaluation the parent or the caregiver will meet with the examiner to speak freely about issues concerning the child. We can continue afterwards with an assessment or start building up a treatment plan based on the consultation findings. During the evaluation session we use formal assessments and clinical and behavioral observations to conclude our findings and write the report. The written report will also include the parental report and background information in order to determine the severity of the issue that is present according to age-designed development. The written report will then be sent to the parent for review along with a report meeting session to discuss the report and treatment plan. The treatment plan is an individualized program designed especially for your child. It targets areas that need to be addressed and offers a road map that will guide you and your child to success by outlining goals, measurement progress and timelines. We thoroughly evaluate the treatment plan regularly in order to make changes as needed depending on the child’s progress.

Our Sensory Integration Therapy aims at improving the way a child's brain responds to and makes use of sensory information and how this is used to plan, co-ordinate and organize movement. It also has a positive effect on self-confidence and self-esteem. Our Sensory Integration Therapy uses enhanced sensory in-put combined with planned motor out-put through which a child experiences success. The emphasis is non-cognitive which means that we work with the child's reactions rather than practice specific skills. Sensory Integration Therapy does not “teach” a child new skills, nor does it directly supply experience or practice in those areas of development that are causing concern. It involves the active participation of a child (and therapist) in a way that facilitates interaction with the play environment. To you or your child as an observer, Sensory Integration Therapy sessions should seem like just playing. To a therapist, Sensory Integration Therapy sessions will be specifically designed to match and develop the child's nervous system needs.
Therapy sessions utilize a variety of specialized techniques to address the underlying deficits such as hands-on facilitation, and stretching activities, abdominal and core muscle strengthening, and balance exercise on a large assortment of therapeutic equipment. Through exercises and activities specified to your child's needs, we will work to improve their motor skills.
We provide learning support to children using evidence based programs based on their individual needs.
Therapy groups is emerging as a model of providing the services required by children, their families, and their broader communities of support. Parent feedback indicates that participating in groups provides opportunities to understand their child’s needs and learn strategies and skills to help their children. Therapy groups as a model improve outcomes for children with developmental needs and are accessible to families and communities. Our group programs are designed to facilitate positive peer interactions. Children participate in fun activities that work on social skills such as greeting, cooperative play, sharing, turn taking, making friends, resolving conflict, and communication.
Applied behavior analysis (ABA) is a kind of research-based behavior therapy for people with autism and other developmental disorders. Its goal is to see an increase in positive behaviors and a decrease in negative behaviors. Children can also learn new skills and improve their social interactions. Many studies have proven the effectiveness of ABA.
Art Psychotherapy is an intervention that is suitable for all ages, particularly for those who may be experiencing life changes, trauma, illness, or disabilities causing distress for the individual and their family. It works by helping individuals to connect with and understand their inner world, and towards the development of a client's integrated sense of self, with increased self-awareness and acceptance. The therapist uses the creative process to help increase insight and judgment, cope better with stress, work through traumatic experiences, increase cognitive abilities, have better relationships with family and friends, and just be able to enjoy the life-affirming pleasures of the creative experience.
We provide programs that include yoga, meditation, neurolinguistic programming, hypnotherapy, reiki and chakra using crystals.
