Meet your Teacher

IQPreschool is owned and directed by Iwona Erbe. Iwona is a Licensed and Certified Family Childcare Provider with the State of Oregon.

Iwona has extensive experience with children. She was a preschool teacher in Portland’s Polish School in North Portland, assists in children’s classes at Aikido Northwest in Milwaukie, Oregon, and was a nanny for 5 years.

Her Master Science Degree from Oczapowski University in Olsztyn, Poland helped her design a unique preschool program based on research, observation and experience. Iwona is constantly developing and educating herself in early childhood studies. Her preschool curriculum will continue to adapt and advance with the latest childcare ideals and philosophies.

Children are Iwona’s passion. She loves to watch them grow and to help them learn the skills they need in life. She has 2 children of her own: Aniela (16) and Severyn (12).

Iwona’s interests are hiking, traveling, gardening and Aikido. She has a 3rd degree black belt in the Art of Aikido.
