Hi, I'm Jake Isted
The Trainer and Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) Behind Learn2Respond!
I deliver professional, experience-led training supported by a strong background in frontline, clinical and education roles.
Before moving into healthcare, I worked as a Prison Officer, where I developed essential skills in crisis management, safeguarding and risk reduction. This Real-World experience now supports the specialist courses that I offer including, Suicide and Self-Harm Awareness and The Prevention and Management of Ligatures. Each delivered with realism, sensitivity and confidence.
I am currently a third and final year Operating Department Practitioner student, working across anaesthetics, surgery and post anaesthetic care units. ODP's are multidisciplinary clinicians specialising in Airway Management, Resuscitation & Emergencies , Patient Monitoring, and Trauma Care throughout the perioperative journey. These skills underpin the accuracy, depth and clinical relevance of the first aid and medical emergency training I provide.
Alongside this I am a qualified Emergency Care Assistant (FREC 4) and actively maintain my skills in pre-hospital care by working as an Event Medic and volunteering as a Community First Responder (CFR). This hands on pre-hospital experience ensures my teaching remains current, practical and grounded in real patient care.
I am also a qualified Internal Quality Assurer (IQA), registered with Qualsafe. IQA support is the core focus of my work, allowing me the flexibility to support training centres remotely while ensuring high standards, compliance and excellent learner outcomes. However, I remain just as passionate about delivering engaging, honest and high quality training- and continue to offer a wide range of courses with a friendly and professional approach.
My goal is straightforward: To provide reliable, realistic training and quality assurance that people trust, wherever they are based.
