about gamificatioN

Gamification has emerged as an innovative teaching-learning strategy that researchers have shown to be effective in improving learning outcomes.

Gamification is the use of gaming principles to get participants involved, engaged, and excited about learning. It consists of adding game elements to a non-game situation.

It introduces concepts like badges, levels, achievements, and game points. Participants are rewarded with these concepts when they succeed. By introducing a system of rewards without harsh penalties, they are not afraid to step outside of their comfort zone and fail. By removing their fear of failure we encourage them to learn.

Move. Always move the full amount shown on the die.
When you land on a space, pick an activity card
Complete the activity
Ask for feedback from the other participants
Every time you complete an activity, you receive a badge.
Collect them all!

Board games are ideal because after each activity you can gain a little victory piece, like a badge.
