A texture created in Metabrush is the star of this image. Using iColorama, I blended it over a photo of a woman, and then painted around the edges to make a unique composition.
I created this texture in MetaBrush. I used Brushes/Paint mode, using a variety of large lswirl brushes at medium opacity. In brush settings, I set spacing to its maximum value, I set position variance to its maximum value, I set rotation variance to a middle value, I left dynamics at their default values, and I set Structure and Shadow to their maximum values.
I used this image, which I created previously. You can see how I made it here.
In iColorama, I used Effect/Blend to blend the woman onto the texture. I tried several blending modes and slider settings. I used Adjust/Exposure and an inverted brush mask to darken the area around her head.
I used Effect/Blend and an inverted brush mask to blend in the eyes from this image.
I used Effect/Raise and Adjust/High Preset 1 to bring out the texture.
I used Brush/Paint and a hard triangular brush to paint with black paint around the edges of the canvas.
I used Texture/Leak for a lighting effect.
