I use a variety of apps, including Autodesk Sketchbook, Sketchclub, iColorama, Metabrush, Trimaginator, Matter, Art Set, Sketches Pro, FraxHD, and others. On the Basics tutorials page, I include tutorials for iColorama and Metabrush essentials that I frequently use in my images.
On the Blended Images tutorials page, I show many ways of blending images, primarily using iColorama. Blending opens up a world of possibilities!
On the Distorted Images tutorials page, I show a variety of techniques for warping and deforming images. Using such techniques can make your images striking and unique.
On the Featuring Metabrush page, you'll find tutorials about how I create images using Metabrush, for making interesting textures that are hard to make any other way, as well as for creating unique image elements, such as big hair from long tubular strokes that look 3D.
In exploring fractal apps such as FraxHD, it is easy to create lots of beautiful and unique abstract images. On the Using Fractals in Blended Images tutorials page, I show ways of using fractal images in your own digital art.
On the Line + Color tutorials page, you'll find tutorials showing how I create simplified images by making two versions and blending them together: one version being mostly color, and the other mostly lines.
I've become interested in using digital sketching and painting in my digital artwork. On the Sketching and Painting tutorials page, you'll find tutorials about how I how I use various sketching and painting apps in conjunction with iColorama and other iPad apps.
On the Using Trimaginator in Digital Art tutorials page, you'll find tutorials showing how I've used output from the Trimaginator app in my digital artwork to create unique images, such as the illusions of webs or strings that bind or tie a figure or a face.
I've used graphic design concepts as inspiration for new image ideas. On the Inspired by Design tutorials page, I show how I've used design concepts for managing negative/positive space in my digital artwork.
I've become interested in the abstract figure. The idea is to suggest a figure without being too literal, while retaining the emotional impact. On the Abstract Figures tutorials page, you'll find tutorials about how I create abstract figures from shapes and lines.
