January: Iowa State Capitol Bible Reading Marathon - Tuesday, January 2 through Friday, January 5, and Monday, January 8, 2025; 8 am to 4:30 pm; rotunda of the State Capitol.

Polk County: Tuesday, January 2 through Friday, January 5 and Monday, January 8; 8 am to 4:30 pm; State Capitol rotunda, Des Moines, IA. Closing program set for Monday, January 8 at 2:30 pm with a presentation of the 2024 Iowa 99 County Bible Reading Marathon proclamation followed by praise and worship with Rachael Greene, harpist, and Cindy Patterson, worship flags.

May:

Van Buren County: Van Buren churches begin reading Pentecost Sunday, May 19 and have a closing program on Sunday, June 30 at 1:30 pm at the county courthouse gazebo.

Blackhawk County: Reading through the month of June in the home and at the courthouse lawn, Waterloo, IA

Emmet County: Reading every Wednesday evening beginning June 5 from 3:30-5:30 up to 7 pm as the summer progresses on the county courthouse lawn, Estherville, IA

Closing program is set for Friday, January 10, 2025, at 2:30 pm with a presentation of the 2025 Iowa 99 County Bible Reading Marathon proclamation which will be preceded and concluded with praise and worship.

I am looking for 156 individuals to read 30 minute portions of scripture (completing a Genesis to Revelation read of the Bible) on Friday, January 10, 2025, and attend the 2:30 pm closing program.
