Iordanis Romaidis
University of Edinburgh
I am currently a Postdoc at the University of Edinburgh with David Jordan supported by the Simons Collaboration on Global Categorical Symmetries. I received my PhD in mathematics from the University of Hamburg in 2022 under the supervision of Ingo Runkel.
My research interests lie in algebraic structures which appear in mathematical physics and the role of TQFTs and defects in holography. In particular, I am working on questions related to:
mapping class group representations
defects in TQFTs
skein theories
