Angelos D. Ioannou
Angelos (Aggelos) holds a PhD in the area of Computer Architecture and Networking from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) of the University of Crete (TUC).
His research interests include Computer Architecture, Processors and Multiprocessors, Reconfigurable Computing, Interconnection Networks, High-Throughput/Low-Latency communication
His current work focuses on Reconfigurable Computing, involving FPGA-aided simulation for HPC architectures, as well as hardware acceleration of scientific applications.
Research projects that he is involved include the DOE funded iARPA AGILE, Project 38 and BXPE.
During the academic years 2020-21 and 2021-22 he also serves as a visiting professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the Technical University of Crete, teaching:
