Hyunjoo Eom is an assistant professor at the Department of Urban Engineering at the Incheon National University. She is interested in analyzing urban dynamics including the evolution of spatial structure of a city and the impact of built environment on human behaviors.
The goal of her research is two-fold: 1) planning a smarter city to enhance the quality of life and the safety of citizens, and 2) promoting equitable urban growth to ensure equality of urban opportunities and inclusivity in cities.
