Do you believe in a diverse healthcare system? Hi, my name is Addison Dart, and I believe that our society lacks diversity in the healthcare workforce which leads to a risk of undermining trust between patients and caregivers. As a female, I believe it is my mission to change the system by encouraging females to enter this male-dominated field.
About Me
I am currently a sophomore in college studying nutrition on the pre-med track. I lived in Wichita, Kansas, for 18 years until I moved to Fort Worth, Texas, to attend Texas Christian Univerisity. I am the first in my entire family to attend college outside of Wichita, Kansas. I have loved getting plugged into the TCU community. I am a part of multiple STEM-related clubs which have really helped build a community here at school. I am super passionate about using my education to help and teach others about the importance of health. I am so thankful for the influence my dad, a doctor, but I always craved to have a female role model in the powerful position that I want to be in someday. Recently, I have felt the weight that someday I will be that person for a young girl. This importance is what drives me through every assignment, lab report, and Chemistry exam.
