You can select other options, but they can also be selected later.
Click "Submit". Your course will be created. You will need the LTIKey and LTI secret to integrate with canvas. The LTIKey ending with ###_1 is the one you need for MyOpenMath grades to be automatically recorded in your Canvas grade book.
Note: You may need to add the MyOpenMath app in your Canvas course. Open settings, choose “Apps”, and select MyOpenMath. You will be asked for the LTIKEy and LTI secret to set up the course.
Download the Canvas Course export here.
Open your Canvas course.
Click on "Import existing content".
Select "Common Cartridge 1.x package"
Choose the file "CanvasStatisticscoursewithbookintegrated.imscc" that was downloaded
Click on "All Content"
Click "Import". This will take a few minutes. There may be some issues that are flagged about missing links. Those are okay. There is one issue flagged that MyOpenMath needs to be configured. However, all the content has been imported in modules (three resource modules and 11 chapter modules).
In Canvas, go to course settings and select "Apps".
Search for "MyOpenMath" and select "Add App".
A window will open asking for the LTIKey and shared secret. The "Consumer Key" is the LTIKey and the shared secret is the LTI secret. Cut and paste or type these in, then click "Add App". (If you forgot to save them, they can be found in the MyOpenMath course under "Course Settings", then "LMS Integration".)
Refresh or reopen your Canvas course.
Click on any MyOpenMath homework assignment. You will be asked to log into your MyOpenMath account. This is the only time you will need to log in. Students will never have to log in. They will have automatic access when logged in through your Canvas course.
The next window asks you to select which MyOpenMath course you wish to associate the Canvas course with. If you have multiple MOM courses, make sure that you associate the course with the correct course ID.
Click "Continue". After a brief pause you should see the option to preview the assignment.
Congratulations! You now have the book modules in your Canvas shell, and free online homework linked with MyOpenMath.
