This is an all inclusive retreat!
3 nights lodging, all meals (vegetarian + gluten free options are available), pool, hiking and scheduled activities. *** Archery and kayaking (with shuttle) are available for an extra fee - paid at the time of the retreat.
We are offering a sliding scale with three price points.
The sliding scale represents the idea that financial resources, including income, are not and should not be the only determining factor in whether or not someone can access services/care/etc. This method allows folks who would most likely be priced out of something to have the chance to take part in it. It also seeks to address the systemic inequalities of class in our culture.
Sliding scale framework is from Alex Cunningfolk at www.wortsandcunning.com.
Pricing details:
All inclusive - For lodging, all meals + retreat: $885, $685 or $485
Early registration ends May 1!!!
$100 nonrefundable deposit to reserve your space! 50% of remaining total due by May 15th. Remainder due by June 10th.
We have space for 20 participants. We have 5 spots for tier A, 10 spots for tier B and 5 spots for tier C.
Determining your appropriate price point:
Tier A - $485 ($50 off for early registration)
The bottom cost on the scale represents our understanding that many people have economic circumstances which prevent being a part of this retreat if there was not to be a deliberate opportunity made for them to access services at a cost that is reflective of their economic realities. This price is for you if:
I struggle to maintain access to needs such as health care, housing, food, child care, and are living paycheck to paycheck or are in significant debt
I have no or limited expendable income
I have no access to savings
Tier B - $685 ($75 off for early registration)
The middle cost is what we would charge all participants in the absence of a sliding scale. This tier is appropriate if you are struggling to conquer debt or build savings or move away from paycheck to paycheck living but have access to steady income and are not spending most of your time thinking about meeting basic needs such as food, shelter, medical care, child care, etc. If you, however, can ask others for financial support please consider using those personal resources before you use the resources of the sliding scale and limit opportunities for others.
I have some expendable income
I may stress about meeting basic needs but still regularly achieve them
I might have access to financial savings or family financial support
Tier C - $885 ($100 off for early registration)
This is the top dollar cost which reflects the true cost of the retreat plus an additional investment which subsidizes a participant who will pay at the lower access point. This price is for you if:
I have access to financial security, own property or have personal savings, I would not traditionally qualify for sliding scale services.
I am able to pay for "wants" and spend little time worried about securing necessities in your life, I have economic privilege and power in our community.
I own my own home or rent a high end property
>>>> We invite you to think honestly and deeply about your level of access to resources and economic privilege or marginalization, and try to make sure your decision is grounded in connection to your broader resources rather than either scarcity or a generosity that could cause you hardship. People paying at the higher end of the scale directly support our ability to offer accessible sliding-scale rates to make this work and these spaces accessible for more folks.
