It is very important to take care of your both physical and mental health. INTO Hofstra provides many services for you to stay healthy. If you have any questions or concerns, contact the Assistant Director of Student Experience.
The best place for INTO Hofstra students to go to get medical services is the Student Health and Counseling Center (SHACC). SHACC is located on North Campus, close to Hofstra USA and the Colonial Square Residence Halls.
Do I need to make an appointment?
You can call (516) 463-6745 to make an appointment or make an appointment through your Hofstra portal. You can update your immunizations, Medical Records and insurance information through the portal as well.
Walk-ins will be triaged by a Registered Nurse.
When is SHACC open?
In response to precautionary changes on campus associated with COVID-19, hours for Student Health Services have been revised to Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. We are requesting that all students seeking services call us for telephone triage.
For students who have INTO Hofstra insurance: If you are looking for a special type of doctor, or would like to see a doctor off campus, an in-network doctor or hospital can be found on the insurance website.
I lost my health insurance card! Where can I get another one?
You can print a temporary health insurance card. This card can be used to verify your coverage and coverage for dependents, if applicable.
For students who have your own health insurance from other provider: Go to your health insurance company's website. Search a list of local doctors, choose one, and call for an appointment. If you go see a doctor who is not on the list, it will cost you more money.
