In accordance with New York state policy and Hofstra University's decisions, International Student Orientation has been moved to a virtual format and the dates altered to accommodate an early start to the spring semester.
International Student Orientation provides important information about the Hofstra campus, immigration regulations, staying healthy and safe, academic requirements and the many campus services available to help you succeed and have a great experience at Hofstra. At our virtual orientation you will have the opportunity to participate in many activities that will prepare you to become a member of the Hofstra community whether you are located within or outside the U.S.
Spring 2021 International Student Orientation
International Student Orientation for students beginning their program in Spring 2020 will take place virtually over three days from Monday, January 25 through Wednesday, January 25, 2020. Detailed information about orientation will be emailed to accepted students whose I-20 or DS-2019 has been issued. Please note that international students are allowed to enter the U.S. no more than 30 days before the program start date listed on their I-20.
Graduate students may also have separate, program-specific activities in addition to International Student Orientation. Graduate students will receive information about any program-specific activities directly from their department or their program's Admission office.
Once you have confirmed your travel details, be sure to submit your arrival details so that INTO Hofstra staff can better prepare for you arrival, and arrange airport transfer service if required.
We look forward to seeing you at International Student Orientation and if we can be of any assistance, please feel free to contact us at INTOHofstra@hofstra.edu
