Mr. Cheng Tai Fatt is currently a Deputy Managing Director of two groups in Building an Construction Authority, namely BCA Academy and Built Environment Research & Innovation Institute. In BCA Academy, he oversees the various built environment training programmes from tradesman to post-graduate. In the Built Environment Research and Innovation Institute, he is responsible for driving BIM/VDC adoption in the Singapore. He helped to formulate the BIM roadmap and is tasked to drive the wide adoption of BIM across the industry to improve construction productivity. He was directly involved in the development and implementation of CORENET e-Submission system in Singapore. He is also an active member of BuildingSMART Singapore Chapter and recently elected as a Fellow to the BuildingSMART International.

Mr. Cheng will share on Singapore BIM journey to change the way they build through adoption of BIM (Building Information Modelling) and VDC (Virtual Design and Construction).

He will also share on the challenges in the journey and the efforts put in place to address them. He will also cover aspects of R&D for digital engineering.
