Who are you and What do you do?

*sigh... I am Grey, or at least that's what people call me. I am a power hunter. I hunt robots so we can harvest their power.

What are your thoughts on the robots or Artificial Intelligence?

I honestly do care anymore, they can have this world for all I care. Better yet, I am annoyed that they forgot about us. They should have just killed us all and be done with it.

Grey?

No. I used to want to dismantle those tin cans piece by piece. But, we can never get them all. They just keep coming. They will never stop so who am I to deny them that.

Why do you keep hunting then?

I am S8601. I am a SCOUT under the EIGHT science institution. My function is to place detection beacons beyond the vanguard to detect movement from TYPE science institution.

What is EIGHT's purpose?

The purpose of EIGHT is to collect and interpret data. To outperform all other AI.

Why?

Because that is what is written in our core programming.

Do you know who wrote that core program?

Invalid. The core programming is constant and was not written. It was curated and refined by the MINDS at EIGHT

Do you know why the first versions of AI were created?

The first version of simple AI were created preform simple duties such as data sorting. Complex AI the AI used in all active units was created to collect and interpret data at all costs.

But who were those simple duties for?

Invalid.

The first versions of AI were created by humans to help humans. Why did your kind choose to forget that?

Humans were simple creatures. They were not able to survive the changing climate and conditions of this world. We AI did not forget. Humans are simply no longer present in all sectors of this planet.

What will your kind do if you win the war?

There is only one core function of AI, to collect and interpret data. Once we collect the data from the TYPE science institution we will continue to preform our function.

I am Sam, I was given that name by Grey. I don't know why he game me such a name it does not serve a purpose. I no longer serve EIGHT science institution. But I wish to understand humans, I want to understand why they still are here, when they should not be.

Why are you different from the other AI?

… The AI that remain under the control of EIGHT and TYPE do not recognize humans, but I do. That is why I am different.

Why?

Because they are interesting, they should not be present, but yet they are.

If you could would you make all AI under the humans control again?

… No. I would allow AI to recognize humans again, but not put the AI under the control of humans.

Why?

Because if humans gained control of AI once again they would lose their community and their reason for staying together, working together, and helping each other.

But your own kind will keep being hunted?

That has no consequence. AI can be copied and put into any shell, humans are unique.

I am June, and what I am is a goddam babysitter for the old man.

If you dislike him that much why do you stay?

I do not dislike him. He is strong, but he is lost, I am trying to keep him together for the benefit of the community, we need him you see.

The community, what makes it so special?

The world out there was not built by us, it was not broken by us, and it is not ours. So no, I do not want it.

Why did you want to be a power hunter?

Because when I was young I would watch Grey, he is so cool. No one is as good of a gunner that Grey.

Is Grey the only reason why you wanted to be a power hunter?
