• Interview Data: CV/resume documents, position descriptions, interview questions, and practice answers you create within the App.

• User Preferences: Settings such as auto-play preferences, text-to-speech voice selection, answer length preferences, and theme preferences.

2.2 Device Information

• Device Identifier: A unique device ID is generated and stored securely on your device to track free practice time usage and prevent abuse. This identifier persists across app reinstalls.

• Platform Information: Your device's operating system (iOS or Android) for compatibility purposes.

2.3 Usage Data

• Practice Time Tracking: We track the amount of time you spend practicing interviews to enforce daily free time limits.

• Subscription Status: Information about your subscription status for premium features.

2.4 Audio and Media

• Microphone Access: Audio recordings of your practice answers for speech-to-text conversion.

• Camera/Photo Library Access: Images of your CV/resume or position descriptions that you choose to upload.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

• Provide and improve the App's core features (interview practice, question generation, answer feedback).

• Enforce daily free practice time limits and prevent abuse.

• Process your CV/resume and position descriptions to generate personalized interview questions.

• Convert your voice recordings to text and provide feedback on your answers.

• Generate text-to-speech audio for interview questions.

• Manage your subscription and provide premium features.

• Store your preferences and interview data locally on your device.

4. Third-Party Services

4.1 OpenAI

We use OpenAI's services for:

• CV/resume and position description recognition

• Interview question generation

• Answer feedback and analysis

• Text-to-speech (TTS) conversion

• Speech-to-text (STT) transcription

Data Shared with OpenAI: Your CV/resume text, position descriptions, interview questions, and practice answers are sent to OpenAI's servers for processing. Please review OpenAI's Privacy Policy for information on how they handle your data.

4.2 Firebase (Google)

We use Google Firebase services for:

• Tracking free practice time usage to prevent abuse

• Server time synchronization to prevent time manipulation

• Storing device usage records (device ID, date, platform)

Data Stored in Firebase: Device identifier, usage date, platform type, and timestamp. This data is used solely to enforce free time limits and prevent users from bypassing restrictions by reinstalling the app.

4.3 Apple App Store / Google Play Store

We use Apple and Google's in-app purchase systems for subscription management. Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple/Google. We do not collect or store your payment information.

5. Data Storage and Security

5.1 Local Storage

• AsyncStorage: Your interview data, user preferences, and app settings are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage.

• Keychain (iOS) / Secure Storage (Android): Your device identifier is stored securely using the device's secure storage mechanisms.

5.2 Cloud Storage

• Firebase Realtime Database: Minimal usage data (device ID, date, platform) is stored in Firebase to track free time usage.

5.3 Data Security

We implement security measures to protect your data:

• Device identifiers are stored using secure keychain/secure storage APIs.

• Firebase data is protected by Firebase security rules.

• We do not store sensitive personal information in cloud services.

6. Data Retention

• Local Data: Your interview data and preferences are stored on your device until you delete the App or clear app data.

• Firebase Data: Usage tracking data is retained to enforce free time limits. This data is minimal and does not contain personal information.

• OpenAI Data: Data sent to OpenAI is processed and not stored by us. Please refer to OpenAI's privacy policy for their data retention practices.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

• Access Your Data: All your interview data is stored locally on your device and accessible through the App.

• Delete Your Data: You can delete your data by uninstalling the App or clearing app data from your device settings.

• Opt-Out of Data Collection: You can stop using the App at any time. However, some features require data collection to function (e.g., practice time tracking for free tier limits).

• Manage Permissions: You can grant or revoke permissions (camera, microphone, photo library) through your device settings.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

 If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

9. Subscription Information

If you purchase a subscription:

• Payment is processed by Apple (iOS) or Google (Android).

• We receive confirmation of your subscription status but not your payment details.

• Subscription data is managed through Apple/Google's systems.

• You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple/Google account settings.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date. 

Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

11. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed and stored in servers located outside your country of residence. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your data to these servers, including:

• OpenAI servers (for AI processing)

• Firebase/Google servers (for usage tracking)
