I just want the closest experience to how Internet Download Manager used to work in Windows. IDM seemed to do things in a good way so I just want to have that comfort. Also, internet speeds are so so so slow with Ubuntu compared to Windows. How do I fix that ? I tried disabling ipv6. Thanks in advance.

We are having a weird issue with Tomcat Manager apps on a new server. When a war file is uploaded, user path info is included in the app name.

Example: When the OMS-PRIME war is uploaded, the manager app deploys as /C:usersUserNameDesktopOMS-PRIME

Since I upgraded to Kaspersky total security, my Kaspersky Password Manager doesn't work on chrome browser and somehow it defaults to Microsoft Edge. I went to the setting and select Google Chrome as my default browser. I noticed that it's telling me to download the Extension for the chrome browser. But it's been installed. It's not recognizing it. I re-installed it, but it says "not installed".

Kaspersky Password Manager cannot automatically turn off Chrome's and chromium-based browsers' build-in password manager. Please turn off autosave and autofill settings in your browser manually to avoid performance issues in the Kaspersky Password Manager extension.

When you first run Microsoft Edge, you have the option of importing browser data from any other browser you use. When you install another browser on your new device, Microsoft Edge will start importing essential browser data like passwords, history, autofill and more. Microsoft Edge uses internet data usages to detect the primary browser. The browser whose internet data usage is at 50% or higher is set as the primary browser. Otherwise, it assumes legacy Microsoft Edge to be the primary browser.

To see your addresses and other contact data saved in Google Chrome, go to Customize and control Google Chrome > Settings > Autofill > Addresses and more (chrome://settings/addresses).

To see your cookies in Google Chrome, go to Customize and control Google Chrome > SettingsĀ  > Privacy and security > Cookies and site data > See all site data and permissions (chrome://settings/content/all).

To see your search engines in Google Chrome, go to Customize and control Google Chrome > Settings > Search Engine > Manage search engines and site search (chrome://settings/searchEngines).

If you have saved passwords, Google's Password manager will continue suggesting them even when turned off in Chrome. To stop this you can use a computer to move your saved passwords in Chrome to 1Password, then delete them from Chrome.

Now that you have mastered the basics let's dig into one more action that you will take regularly, Auto-fill and Auto-save, and three recommended setup steps, easier vault unlocking, pinning the extension to your browser, and disabling the browser's built-in password manager:

In Chrome or any Chromium-based browser (Edge, Opera, and Brave), navigate to the Passwords page by entering chrome://password-manager/settings in the address bar, substituting chrome for your browser name (for example, brave://password-manager/settings).

Google Chrome browser is a free web browser used for accessing the internet and running web-based applications. The Google Chrome browser is based on the Open Source Chromium web browser project. Google released Chrome in 2008 and issues several updates a year.

Google Chrome is part of Google services, Google's family of products that includes Gmail, Google Maps and the Chrome search engine. Many of Google services are hosted on Chrome, which was one of the first internet browsers to use the cloud to support applications such as Google Docs, Google's popular word processor.

Incognito mode is a safe browsing feature that lets users search the internet on Google Chrome without Google logging their browsing history, cookies, site data and information submitted in online forms. Google disables extensions in incognito by default to protect privacy, though users can manually enable them.

Internet Download Manager (IDM) is a popular download accelerator that helps you download files from the internet faster by dividing the file into smaller chunks and downloading them simultaneously. It is available for Windows and macOS and offers a range of features such as resuming broken downloads, scheduling downloads, and integrating with popular web browsers like Google Chrome.

Once the IDM extension is installed in Google Chrome, you can use IDM to download files from the internet. To do this, simply click on the download link for the file you want to download. IDM will automatically take over the download process and start downloading the file.

Besides the integrated download manager, the features in IDM are few and far between. You can basically browse using an incognito mode and have different tabs open, though it is not particularly easy to access the other tabs.

How do you get this to work with an HTTPS? that method works perfectly for a non https site. Putting googlechrome:// actually leaves out the : after https so it can't find the page. leaving out https entirely, makes it think it's not valid webpage (would work for non https sites).

Stumbled across this thread when trying to figure out if you can set a default browser via MDM commands, and also stumbled across which suggests that TargetApplicationBundleIdentifier can be set to com.google.chrome to force a webclip to open in Chrome, or com.apple.safari to force a webclip to open in Safari but I haven't tried this (yet.)

This is a bit different from third-party password managers such as LastPass and 1Password, which use master passwords to access your saved information. Nobody would typically know the master password except you.

EndNote Click includes enhanced integration with EndNote 20 and EndNote 21, allowing you to automatically export your references and PDFs straight from your EndNote Click viewer into EndNote. When viewing PDFs in the EndNote Click Viewer, you will be able to select the option to Export To EndNote which allows you to export your references with PDFs attached into EndNote in one click. If you do not see the Export to EndNote button, you may need to set EndNote as your preferred reference manager in your EndNote Click settings.
