IaH Guide

EPOS Guide on Internationalisation at Home in the Post-Pandemic World

An Introduction for Teaching Staff in Higher Education

This Guide provides practical instructions and advice on how to design and implement IaH initiatives for higher education. The recommendations provided in the guide stem from research, specifically from a systematic review that concentrated on examining practices, benefits, and challenges related to IaH.

The primary audience for this guide consists of academic teaching staff from various disciplines within higher education. As a result, the guide pays more attention to the Internationalisation of the Formal (but also the “Informal”) Curriculum, as well as to Virtual Exchange which has been recognised as “a powerful instrument and catalyst in advancing efforts to internationalise home curricula” (O’Dowd & Beelen, 2021). However, the guide can also provide valuable insights to other stakeholders, such as European and international associations involved in international education, or policymakers.

The guide is available here.
