Donoghue, President of the International Court of Justice, delivered an address during a royal dinner hosted by His Majesty King Willem-Alexander and Her Majesty Queen Mxima at the Royal Palace in Amsterdam in honour of the Heads of international organizations based in the Netherlands.

The ISSB has international support with its work to develop sustainability disclosure standards backed by the G7, the G20, the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO), the Financial Stability Board, African Finance Ministers and Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors from more than 40 jurisdictions.

International days and weeks are occasions to educate the public on issues of concern, to mobilize political will and resources to address global problems, and to celebrate and reinforce achievements of humanity. The existence of international days predates the establishment of the United Nations, but the UN has embraced them as a powerful advocacy tool. We also mark other UN observances.

A global not-for-profit established in 1919, IIE is the first private organization facilitating international exchanges. We create and implement international education programs, conduct research, and provide life-changing opportunities for students, scholars, and artists worldwide.

Managing international education exchange programs in the Western Hemisphere since its earliest days of operation, IIE has over the past 90 years opened additional offices throughout the United States and Latin America to serve this region.

We're looking forward to International Education Week (IEW) 2023, November 13-17! IEW is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. This joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education is part of our efforts to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences.

We encourage the participation of all individuals and institutions interested in international education and exchange activities, including schools, colleges and universities, embassies, international organizations, businesses, associations, and community organizations. Individuals and institutions tend to hold IEW events as it is convenient for them in their local communities. We want you to celebrate as much and as often as you like. To that end, we are providing promotional materials that allow you the flexibility to promote events whenever they may be planned.

The annual ECA-funded Open Doors report is a definitive survey on international and U.S. higher education student mobility. The briefing offers the public and members of the media access to the newest data available from the annual ECA-funded Open Doors Report on International Educational Exchange, published by the Institute of International Education (IIE). Report highlights will include survey results on international and U.S. student mobility, the top sending and receiving countries, and statistics on student demographics.

Alexandra Semma Tamayo has worked as a forensic anthropologist at the Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences in Villavicencio, Colombia. Her multidisciplinary approach to the identification of missing persons from enforced disappearance has helped bring justice to the families in armed conflict contexts. As an international fellow, her research in fracture patterns observed in gunshot wounds will be extremely helpful in improving the accuracy in trauma interpretation when working with human-rights violations. 17dc91bb1f
