An institute for students to learn more about programming, computer science, technology, engineering, and math. The students can engage with interactive art applications, and learn how to recreate the museum exhibits and create interactive artworks of their own. The concept works for both popup local exhibits or a brick and mortor location with more permanent exhibits. The spce is an interactive art and science museum, which is learning institute themed on science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) concepts where students can recreate the interactive art exhibits and work in teams to create new interactive artworks themed on scientific theories.
The Interactive Art Institute offers all day curated workshops for $350-$1000 for groups of 40 students. An expert and creative team of 8 art and technology facilitators will actively engage and guide teams of students in creating new interactive artworks based on existing exhibits and the interests of the students involved. These working prototypes can be purchased after the workshop if they would like to introduce new technology into their school.
Each school is a direct customer of the field trip tech-arts workshop package. Any number of teachers are welcome to attend to help facilitate the workshop and learn the technology themselves. We expect schools to be interested in monthly or every other month workshops for groups of up to 40 middle school students and 3 (or more) faculty members at the $1.5k price range.
The venture will begin with 1 or 2 school customers hosted on Thursday and Friday one weekend a month. The exhibit will stay open to the public on Friday night and Saturday for $10 general admission (teardown Sunday). Each emerging artist project proposal has a QR code that patrons can use to donate a dollar or two. The goal is to build up a hyper-local crowdfunding platform to facilitate local tech-arts projects as well as an artist network to help facilitate forming teams, working on ideas, version control, distance collaboration, exploring and iterating ideas, all using the real time collaboration drawing tools on our online artist and design collaboration network, or Artist Network for short (or wyrd network for fun).

Create your own interactive art project and take it home.
The workshop with the school essentially funds the party that happens the next day.
The event is primarily serving as a marketing mechanism for the projects that are being proposed on the network. ⅓ of the exhibit will be focused exclusively on talking up projects and trying to convince people to donate a dollar, it will be really fun. We’ll be selling hope and dreams for a dollar.
