On March 25, 2026, the Intellectual Property Cell at NMIMS Bengaluru successfully hosted the IP Conclave in the campus auditorium. Centered around the timely theme, "Intellectual Property in the Digital Age: Influencers, Remix Culture, Music Rights, and Emerging Virtual Media," the event served as a vibrant, collaborative platform. It brought together diverse voices from the intellectual property ecosystem, including legal practitioners, academicians, and industry professionals, to explore the evolving intersection of intellectual property law, technological innovation, and contemporary modes of content creation. 

The conclave featured an esteemed panel of guest speakers: Ms. Usha L, Partner at Krishnamurthy & Co., Bengaluru; Mr. Satyam Rathore, Senior Associate at K & S Partners, Bengaluru; and Mr. Stalin Arnold, Assistant Professor at Christ University, Bengaluru. The core segment of the event consisted of a thoughtfully moderated panel discussion where these experts deliberated on crucial topics such as copyright in digital media, AI-generated content, and branding and trademarks in entertainment. This engaging session allowed for an in-depth examination of the complex legal challenges faced by modern creators, including the blurring boundary between inspiration and infringement, as well as new threats from AI covers and viral trends.

The NMIMS Bengaluru Intellectual Property Cell hosted a comprehensive two-day “Intellectual Property Awareness & Skills Bootcamp” designed to bridge the gap between theoretical legal frameworks and practical industry application. Held in the college auditorium, the event offered a rigorous academic experience across two distinct sessions. Day 1 featured a deep dive into the conceptual underpinnings and historical evolution of Intellectual Property Rights, guided by the expertise of Ms. Deepali Nayak (IP Consultant). Her session provided students with critical insights into the foundational elements of IP law. 

Day 2 elevated the discourse with a dynamic panel discussion featuring distinguished industry experts who explored the transactional realities of the legal profession. The panel included:

• Ms. Shreya Chaddha, Senior Associate, Intellectual Property at Fox Mandal & Associates LLP

To ensure a rigorous academic standard, the bootcamp concluded with a structured MCQ assessment to validate the participants' understanding of key concepts like Patents, Trademarks, and Copyrights. Participants benefited from exclusive networking opportunities with these legal professionals and received comprehensive session materials.
