Metal in all its forms (well, not black or death metal) has been with me since I was a nerd teenager. Its technical attributes, its willingness to tackle hard topics, and its utter pomposity has always attracted me. Damn, these people are GOOD at what they do!
Best concert I've ever been to - EVER. The Teutonic Legends of Power Metal.
Speaking of bands that always put on a good show, Sabaton cannot be beat.

Yep, I was at this one in Moscow too - "The Prisoner" and "The Clairvoyant," two of my favorite Maiden tunes, and they played 'em both
Moscow wasn't the first time I saw Maiden, that was in Brisbane in 2011!
Speaking of fun bands who are incredibly nice, Delain fit the bill!
(and yes, the only time I drink beer is with metal)
