Inspiración Scholarship Overview

In honor of Hermana Lady Melodie Maldonado, three awards of $500 will be granted to three students planning to attend Georgia State University, Kennesaw State University, or the University of Georgia. 

Application Deadline:

ALL applications should be submitted by Monday, March 31, 2023 at 11:59 PM EST. No application will be reviewed if submitted late.

General ELIGIBILITY Requirements:

• Be a self-identifying woman

• Minimum GPA of 3.0

• Incoming Fall 2023 college freshman at one of the below institutions

• Have accepted full-time enrollment to one of the following three institutions: Georgia State University, Kennesaw State University, or the University of Georgia

• Transcript

• Letter of Recommendation (1)

• Personal Statement 

• Acceptance Letter 

• Resume

• Any incomplete application will not be reviewed. ALL requested materials must be found within the application. 

• No late submissions will be reviewed. 

• Failure to enroll full-time at any of the awarding institutions will result in immediate disqualification for the scholarship. 

• If a recipient chooses to attend an institution outside of the three awarding schools, it will also result in immediate disqualification.
