Lady Melodie Maldonado-Taylor is Senior Manager of Sponsorships at Delta Air Lines, where she manages sports and entertainment partnerships, which includes such properties as the NY Yankees, Atlanta Falcons, and the GRAMMY Awards. As part of her responsibilities, she drives business results through the design and implementation of fully integrated marketing programs that include social media, digital channels, events, and cause marketing.

Before joining the Sponsorship team, Melodie worked as an Account Executive on the Delta SkyMiles Partnership team, where she managed several partnerships, generating over $25MM in annual revenue. Melodie joined Delta in 2005 as a Senior Analyst in the WorldPerks organization and spent five years in loyalty marketing.

She has played a critical role in Delta’s participation and success at the Consortium for Graduate Study in Management, National Society of Hispanic MBAs, and National Black MBA Associate conferences and events. Melodie has served as President of LAHEN, Delta’s Latin American Hispanic Employee Network. In 2015, she was awarded the Young Hispanic Corporate Achievers™ award presented by the Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility (HACR) for her dedication to the advancements of Latinos in business.

Outside of Delta, Melodie served in various leadership roles, including the Board of Trustees, of Sigma Lambda Upsilon/Señoritas Latinas Unidas Sorority, Inc, a Latina based Sorority whose mission is to provide sisterhood and support while also promoting academic achievement, service to the community, leadership, and cultural enrichment. She also served as Treasurer on the Board of Directors of Child Care WORKS, a nonprofit organization that advocates for affordable Child Care in Minnesota. Melodie received her undergraduate degree in Finance and International Business from the Stern School of Business at New York University, and her MBA in Marketing and Entrepreneurship from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.

Melodie was instrumental in the development of the Southeast Region of Sigma Lambda Upsilon/Señoritas Latinas Unidas Sorority, Inc. In the Fall of 2012, she served as the Dean of Pledges for the Alpha Line of the Alpha Pi Chapter at Georgia State University, creating the first chapter in GA.

Since then, the Georgia Señoritas have expanded to two additional universities, Kennesaw State University (Alpha Phi Chapter) and the University of Georgia (Alpha Chi Chapter). Melodie was also one of the chartering members of Theta Pi Graduate/Professional Chapter in Spring 2013.

Melodie has inspired and impacted the lives of so many young women. Her commitment to lifelong sisterhood contributed to the establishment of a network of over 70 Señoritas in the state of Georgia!
