This program is currently only available in select schools for the pilot year (’24-’25 school year). Our goal is to expand into other schools next year (’25-’26), to be determined. If you’re interested in one of those schools being your student’s, send an email to Heather Low (heather.low@talberthouse.org) and she will reach out to discuss the possibility.
The programming is largely built into the school day to support balancing the demands of students’ other activities such as sports, part time jobs, and family responsibilities. There are some activities available outside of school hours, but a majority of those are not mandatory for successful program completion.
The involvement of a parent/guardian is mostly up front – getting information about the program and giving your student permission. Parent/guardian will also help assist students in getting enrolled in the payment system for Juniors and Seniors. From there, the level of involvement will be on a case-by-case basis and what is best fit for the individual student. Our goal is to promote and teach responsibility for the student in the program, while still ensuring information gets shared at an appropriate level.
