The State of Utah requires 24 hours of continuing education every 2 years.
You can check the status of your license and how many CE credits you have at https://www.sircon.com/utah
As part of the total 24 required hours needed, be sure to complete at least half (12 credit hours) in classroom or classroom equivalent courses and also at least 3 hours of ethics.
To locate CE courses in sircon:
1. Go to www.sircon.com/utah
2. Select the option look up education courses/credits
3. Select the option approved courses inquiry.
4. Select the state Utah
5. At the top where it says instruction method choose one ie, classroom (includes live webinars, teleconferences and courses held at the same location as the instructor), classroom equivalent (timed courses which can be taken at any time) , or self study (course material is given to the student to read and take an exam at the end of the course. Note only 12 hours of this kind of instruction method can be completed).
6. Leave all other fields blank and click submit.
7. Repeat selecting other instruction methods.
To sign up for the course contact the provider by right clicking on the provider name and you will see their phone number.
Another way to search is to follow the above instructions but for step 3 select available course offerings. Enter the date range to be searched. This option displays a calendar of courses being offered. The courses where in the address section at the top will say teleconference or webinar are courses which you can participate from your home or office.
On the FAO website go to Support > Knowledge on Demand. From there you can select Continuing Education. Note they are on-line credits, not classroom.
