Sylvia

Oh look! I lost another life today.
I didn’t look up to see the moon again.
But I guess the clouds wouldn’t have let me anyway.
I drew a line at the end of the stairs, while I counted to 3 and tried to breathe again.
I didn’t see that cat today. Maybe it lost its way in the dark again.
I ran a little to feel something, while all I felt was empty again.
I didn’t let my hair down today, not that it is pretty and long again.
I read some lines while I stared at my book
But all that came to my mind was Sylvia Plath, again.
