INNOVACITY PROJECT

Smart city projects address many of the current problems afflicting high populated areas and cities associated with communal, societal and governance aspects of public, private and other supportive organizations that plan to explore its foreseen advantages. This inter institutional collaborative research aims to develop innovative solutions for Smart Cities. Innovation focus will be specifically on the areas of communications networks, transportation and energy sectors that support several institutions, companies and stakeholders having a potential positive impact on their services and operation. The overall result will be a contribution to efficiency and improvement of urban spaces. The project outcomes will provide innovative smart city solutions leading potentially to better design and utilization of urban spaces.
