Welcome to Inner Therapist ("App", "Service"). Inner Therapist is an iOS application developed and operated by an individual developer ("I", "me", "my"). The App provides AI-powered personalized mental wellness support, including chat therapy, mood tracking, journaling, breathwork, and affirmations.
By downloading, installing, or using Inner Therapist, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the App.
These Terms may be updated from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Your continued use of the App following any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
You must be at least 18 years of age to use Inner Therapist. By using the App, you represent and warrant that:
You are 18 years of age or older;
You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms; and
Your use of the App complies with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction.
If I become aware that a user is under 18, their account will be terminated immediately and their data deleted. If you suspect a minor is using the App, please notify me at innertherapist05@gmail.com.
IMPORTANT: INNER THERAPIST IS A WELLNESS SUPPORT TOOL. IT IS NOT A MEDICAL SERVICE, AND DOES NOT PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL MENTAL HEALTH THERAPY, COUNSELLING, DIAGNOSIS, OR TREATMENT OF ANY KIND.
Please read this section carefully before using the App:
Inner Therapist uses artificial intelligence to provide general mental wellness support. The AI is fully automated — there are no human therapists, counsellors, psychologists, or other licensed healthcare professionals involved in any session.
Nothing in the App constitutes medical, psychological, psychiatric, or any other professional advice. Do not use the App as a substitute for professional healthcare.
The AI cannot feel emotion, empathy, or genuine concern. It cannot form a therapeutic relationship with you and does not provide clinical therapy as a licensed professional would.
Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare provider regarding any medical or mental health condition. Do not disregard, delay, or avoid professional medical advice because of something you read or experienced in the App.
IF YOU ARE IN A MENTAL HEALTH CRISIS OR BELIEVE YOU MAY HARM YOURSELF OR OTHERS, STOP USING THE APP IMMEDIATELY AND CONTACT EMERGENCY SERVICES (CALL 911, 999, 112, OR YOUR LOCAL EMERGENCY NUMBER), A CRISIS HELPLINE (SUCH AS THE 988 SUICIDE & CRISIS LIFELINE IN THE US), OR GO TO YOUR NEAREST EMERGENCY ROOM.
Inner Therapist is not intended for use in emergencies and cannot respond to crisis situations. Use of the App does not create any patient-provider, therapist-client, or other professional relationship.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, I grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use the App on an Apple iOS device that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial wellness purposes.
You may not:
Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or sublicense the App or any of its content;
Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App;
Use the App for any commercial purpose or for the benefit of any third party;
Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the App;
Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices within the App.
This licence is revocable. I may suspend or terminate your access at any time if you breach these Terms.
Inner Therapist is a subscription-based app. Access to premium features requires a paid subscription, which is purchased and managed through Apple's App Store and In-App Purchase system.
All payments are processed by Apple. I do not collect, store, or process your payment card or billing information directly.
Subscription pricing, billing frequency, and any free trial terms are displayed in the App and on the App Store listing before purchase.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings (Settings > Inner therapist > Subscriptions).
Refunds are governed by Apple's refund policy. I am unable to issue refunds directly. For refund requests, please visit Apple's official support page.
I reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable prior notice. Continued use of the App after a price change takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the new price.
To use Inner Therapist, you must create an account. You are responsible for:
Providing accurate, current, and complete registration information;
Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials;
All activity that occurs under your account; and
Notifying me immediately of any unauthorised access to or use of your account at innertherapist05@gmail.com.
You must not share your account with any other person. Each account is for a single individual user only.
I reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if I reasonably believe there has been a breach of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or misuse of the App.
When you use Inner Therapist, you may submit content including journal entries, chat messages, mood logs, and other personal information ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content.
By submitting User Content, you grant me a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, process, and use your User Content solely for the purposes of operating and improving the App, as further described in the Privacy Policy. I will not sell your User Content or use it for advertising purposes.
You are solely responsible for your User Content. You warrant that your User Content does not:
Violate any applicable law or regulation;
Infringe the rights of any third party; or
Contain harmful, offensive, or unlawful material.
I reserve the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms.
You agree not to use the App to:
Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation;
Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity;
Transmit any material that is defamatory, obscene, offensive, or otherwise objectionable;
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the App, its servers, or any connected systems;
Introduce any virus, malware, or other harmful code;
Use the App in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair it;
Harvest or collect personal information of other users without consent;
Use the App for any purpose other than your own personal mental wellness support; or
Engage in any conduct that I determine, in my sole discretion, to be inappropriate or harmful.
All content within Inner Therapist — including but not limited to the App design, text, graphics, logos, AI models, software, and features — is owned by or licensed to me and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in the App or its content beyond the limited licence described in Section 4. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
"Inner Therapist" and associated branding are proprietary. Unauthorised use of the name or branding may violate trademark laws.
By using Inner Therapist, you acknowledge and agree that:
All therapy-style conversations, affirmations, and wellness guidance are generated by artificial intelligence. No human reviews your sessions.
AI-generated responses may not always be accurate, appropriate, or suitable for your specific circumstances. Use your own judgement and seek professional advice when needed.
Your conversation content is transmitted to third-party AI language model providers to generate responses. These providers operate under their own privacy and data processing terms.
The AI is designed to provide supportive, general wellness guidance only. It is not a diagnostic tool and cannot replace clinical care.
You use AI-generated content at your own risk. I am not liable for any decisions you make based on AI responses.
Your privacy is important to me. Please read the Inner Therapist Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms, for full details on how I collect, use, and protect your personal information. The Privacy Policy is available within the App and at innertherapist05@gmail.com upon request.
By using the App, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.
THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, I DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
I do not warrant that:
The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components;
Any information or content in the App is accurate, complete, or up to date; or
The App will meet your specific requirements or expectations.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, I SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR ANY OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE APP.
In particular, and without limitation, I am not liable for:
Any harm arising from your reliance on AI-generated responses in the App;
Any decisions you make regarding your mental or physical health based on App content;
Any unauthorised access to or alteration of your data; or
Any interruption, suspension, or termination of the App or Service.
Where liability cannot be excluded by law, my total liability to you for any claims arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the App shall not exceed the total subscription fees you paid to Apple for the App in the twelve (12) months preceding the date the claim arose.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold me harmless from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with:
Your use of or inability to use the App;
Your violation of these Terms;
Your violation of any third-party rights; or
Any content you submit through the App.
The App relies on third-party services including Firebase (Google LLC), PostHog, TikTok Ads SDK, AI language model providers, and Apple's App Store and payment systems. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. I am not responsible for the conduct, availability, or content of any third-party service.
The App may contain links to third-party websites or resources. These are provided for convenience only and do not imply endorsement. I am not responsible for any third-party content, websites, or services.
I reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any feature of the App at any time, with or without notice. I shall not be liable to you or any third party for any such modification, suspension, or discontinuation.
I may also update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through an in-app notice or via email. Your continued use of the App after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time through the App's account settings.
I may suspend or terminate your access to the App immediately and without prior notice if:
You breach any provision of these Terms;
I am required to do so by law; or
I discontinue the App or Service.
Upon termination, your licence to use the App immediately ceases. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) shall remain in effect.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles, as Inner Therapist is operated by an individual developer based in India.
If you have a dispute with me arising from these Terms or the App, please first contact me at innertherapist05@gmail.com and I will make a good-faith effort to resolve it amicably.
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, both parties agree to attempt mediation before pursuing formal legal proceedings. Nothing in this clause prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive or equitable relief.
Users in certain jurisdictions (such as the EU or UK) may have the right to bring claims before courts in their country of residence. Nothing in these Terms is intended to override such mandatory legal rights.
Inner Therapist is distributed through the Apple App Store. You acknowledge and agree that:
These Terms are between you and me only, not with Apple Inc. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services for the App.
In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) to you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App.
Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the App or your use of it.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, Apple will have the right to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
You must comply with applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the App (e.g., your wireless data service agreement).
Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and me regarding the App and supersede all prior agreements.
Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
Waiver: My failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
Assignment: You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without my prior written consent. I may assign my rights freely.
No Third-Party Beneficiaries: Except as expressly stated in Section 19 (Apple App Store), these Terms do not create any third-party beneficiary rights.
Language: These Terms are written in English. In the event of any inconsistency between any translated version and the English version, the English version shall prevail.
