And...

Do you see what's inside my brain? This is a slide from my Cognitive Psychology course materials.

A brain expert told me that my brain is perfect for experimenting, because the brain is small and roundy. No data loss and good for publication (if my brain worked well).  "Inner Beauty" indeed. However, I am sorry to announce bad news to fMRI researchers: taking picture of my brain seems unpleasant experience to me. I am scowling inside fMRI scanner!

Napdeuk is my brother-in-law. He has a huge crush on sweet potato and egg yolk. In fact, he loves Injae Noona the most! Though Napdeuk was born in Utah, he does not understand English at all. Napdeuk is now happy with mom and dad in Seoul, the Korean speakers. Napdeuk's elegant black to grey to white fur came from his (biological) dad, black Pomeranian, and (biological) mom, white Shih Tzu. Does he have any fancy talent? Not really :-( He never gives his hand first for free. He gives his hand 0.3% when there is no treat, and 73.8% when he finds treats. That 's totally fine, because Napdeuk is still cute without special skills. You can find more photos of Napdeuk at Instagram @napdeuk.

When I am stressed, I do the crochet. I first began the crochet right after my qualification exam, strongly feeling a need for a hobby to escape from psychology things. I have made bags, hats, scrubbers, baby items, golf club covers, and so on. Even though I began crochet not to be too obsessed with my research, I found myself too obsessed with crochet. In fact, crochet is not an appropriate hobby for me. I don't love to stack up the goods except for the daily necessities. To quit or not to quit crochet, that is the question.

Injae in Boston! The weather of August is perfect, the beer of Boston is perfect, and the Charles River at sunset is perfect. The most perfect thing is to enjoy a can of beer in August on the terrace, watching the sunset over the Charles River!! Best way to round the day off. Cheers 🍻

Have you ever seen a bride give a speech on her own wedding day? Yeah, that's me. I got married when I was a grad student, and I got tired of people asking me the same questions over and over again, so I made up a short presentation. How did you and your husband meet, where did you fall in love, where are you going on your honeymoon, where is your new house, etc. As a grad student, presentation is just part of the routine, right?
