To ensure academic integrity while providing a flexible testing environment, our school utilizes a hybrid assessment model. Depending on the nature of the course, students will encounter either AutoProctor-monitored digital exams or traditional paper-back assessments.
For our online and hybrid modules, we use AutoProctor to maintain a secure and fair testing environment. This tool integrates with our testing platforms to monitor activity during the exam.
What to Expect:
Proctoring Features: The system may monitor your screen, camera, and microphone. It tracks "noise" levels and "switching tabs" to ensure focus remains on the assessment.
Trust Score: After completing your test, the system generates a Trust Score based on your adherence to the rules.
Setup Requirements: You will need a stable internet connection, a working webcam, and a quiet, well-lit environment.
Pro Tip: Ensure you close all background applications and browser tabs before starting an AutoProctor session to avoid accidental flags.
For specific practical subjects and formal end-of-term finals, we continue to utilize traditional paper-back assessments conducted in a controlled, physical setting.
What to Expect:
Venue-Based: These exams are held on-campus in designated examination halls.
Material Requirements: Students are responsible for bringing their own stationary (pens, pencils, rulers) and any approved specialized tools (e.g., non-programmable calculators).
Supervision: Invigilators will be present to manage the distribution of papers and monitor the room throughout the session.
Regardless of the format, success starts with being prepared. Please ensure you:
[ ] Verify the Format: Check your course syllabus or student portal to see if your upcoming test is digital (AutoProctor) or paper-back.
[ ] Check Your Hardware: If using AutoProctor, run a system check 24 hours before the exam.
[ ] Review the Code of Conduct: All assessments, regardless of delivery method, are governed by the school's Academic Integrity Policy.
[ ] Arrive/Log-in Early: Aim to be ready at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start time to resolve any last-minute technical or logistical issues.
