Management of national and international standards for noise control and acoustic treatment
Operation of measurement tools according to international standards
Knowledge in handling acoustic data and indicators
Acoustic space simulation and noise mapping
This project involved studying the acoustics and initial conditions of a classroom at the Digital Lab academy in Bogotá, where audiovisual mixing and mastering courses are taught. The goal was to design an acoustic treatment plan to optimize the space according to the standards of a mastering room. Simulations, theoretical calculations, and initial measurements were carried out based on the ISO 3382-2 standard, proposing improvements for the room's acoustic treatment.
The environmental noise modeling project at the intersection of Avenida Suba and Calle 127, developed by students from Universidad de San Buenaventura, analyzed the impact of vehicular traffic on commercial and residential areas. Using QGIS and CadnaA, vehicle count data during peak hours was processed, and isophone curves were generated, showing noise levels exceeding 75 dB, surpassing the limits set by Resolution 0627 of 2006. The results highlight the need for mitigation measures to improve urban quality of life.
This project analyzed the impact of vehicular noise from Carrera Séptima on the workers of the Espacio en Blanco building in Chapinero, Bogotá. Site visits, surveys, noise measurements at different points, reverberation time evaluation on the fourth floor, and analysis of the facade's sound insulation were conducted according to ISO 16283-3. Additionally, STC and OITC values were calculated through experimental measurements and simulations using the INSUL software.
