Chai Chat with Dr. Curry! πŸ–‹

Dr. Robert M. Curry is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Arkansas since August 2023. Prior to this role, he served as an assistant professor in the Mathematics Department at the United States Naval Academy for five years. He earned his Ph.D. in industrial engineering from Clemson University in 2018, a master's in industrial and systems engineering from the University of Florida in 2014, and a bachelor's in industrial engineering from the University of Arkansas in 2013. Dr. Curry's research focuses on developing methodologies for modeling and solving large-scale network optimization problems with applications in defense, sensor networks, and cyber-physical infrastructure. His work has been published in esteemed journals such as IISE Transactions, INFORMS Journal on Applied Analytics, Networks, and Naval Research Logistics, and has received sponsorship from the Office of Naval Research. He also has a strong background in teaching linear and integer programming, network optimization modeling and algorithms, and applied probability and statistics.
