The Bachelor of Science degree in Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics aims to train experts in Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics, who currently are and will keep being highly sought after in the era of the artificial intelligence revolution.

The course provides the student with a solid methodological and foundational preparation in mathematics, computer science, physics and statistics, and then introduce them to the methods and technologies of Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics. The aim of the course is to provide a deep understanding of the methodologies and fundamental concepts, to give the student the ability to keep up with the rapid evolution of this sector.

Students can specialize and deepen their knowledge during a subsequent master's degree, like Data Science and Artificial Intelligence or Scientific and Data-Intensive Computing that are offered by the University of Trieste.

The program is currently in Italian and started in 2020.

Ths international master degree program, in English,  offers an education that uniquely combines two key areas of digital transformation: data science and artificial intelligence. The combined focus on these two aspects results in an education that embraces scientific topics, including frontier ones, and applications in the industrial, economic-social and medical fields, in strong connection and integration with the world of business and research. 

The master program, organised by the University of Trieste, is in cooperation with special-education schools, research organisations and companies in the Trieste area and in the FVG region.

The program provides students with a sound methodological background in three areas: machine learning and artificial intelligence, mathematical-statistical modelling, intensive computing and information technology.

This program started in 2023.

The master's degree in Scientific and Data-Intensive Computing prepares professionals capable of tackling crucial challenges of the digital society in the areas of computational science and engineering, computational modeling and digital twins, high-performance and data-intensive computing.

The course provides students with a solid methodological preparation in intensive and distributed computing, data analysis and machine learning, and mathematical and computational modeling of real-world systems. The students have the flexibility to specialize in diverse areas of the physical and natural sciences and engineering, ranging the digital twins of ocean and climate to quantum computing and from the modeling of discrete systems to high performance computing, opening doors to a wide array of career opportunities in academia, research, and industry.

The course is international, in English, and is organized by the universities of Trieste and Udine, with the collaboration of SISSA, ICTP, Area Science Park and other research bodies in the Trieste area and the FVG region.

The program started in 2023.

The Applied Data Science and Artificial Intelligence PhD Program (ADSAI) trains researchers and highly qualified experts in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence , with broad focus on the applications to: natural and life sciences, industry, smart cities and transportation, economy and society.

ADSAI is an international doctorate course, taught in English, and it is offered by the University of Trieste, with the collaboration of researchers from other research institutions within the broader the Trieste area, among which SISSA (International School for Advanced Studies), ICTP (International Centre for Theoretical Physics), INAF (Astrophysics observatory), and Area Science Park (technological park and tech transfer).

This program started in 2021.

Master of Science in Data Science, with a curriculum in Artificial Intelligence, one in Data Science and Applications, and one in Scientific Computing. 

The program was started in 2017 and dismissed in 2023, replaced by the two above-described master programs in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence and Scientific and Data-Intensive Computing.
