🌱 On March 19, 1991, Most Rev. P. Remigius, Bishop of Kumbakonam, purchased nearly 3 acres of land along the Trichy–Chennai Highway to establish a Christian presence near the rapidly developing area of Trichy.

⛪The Parish of No.1 Tollgate was formally established on September 17, 2006, with Rev. Fr. S. Soosai as the first parish priest. Before this, the faithful were served by the Capuchin Fathers from Amalashram.

🚩The foundation stone for the new church, Infant Jesus Shrine, was blessed and laid on August 3, 2008 by Most Rev. F. Antonisamy, the newly appointed Bishop of Kumbakonam.

🙏 The Shrine was completed and blessed on August 4, 2012. Rev. Fr. M.A. Thanaraj was appointed as the second parish priest, taking forward the mission with faith-building activities.

The Feast of Our Lady of Good Health was added as a second patronal feast on September 8, 2013. The Shrine was canonically erected on May 1, 2014, with plenary indulgences granted on five days yearly. A crown-shaped arch and a new rectory for pilgrims were completed between 2014–2015. A spiritual statue of 'Kuzhanthai Varam Tharum Kodai Madha' was also installed during this period. Additionally, a side ramp was constructed at the church. Youth committee and children’s 'Yesuvin Kanmanikal' groups were formed on March 28, 2015, to encourage active participation in church life.
