Two forces led me down the path of investing. First, my work in climate change highlighted the importance of finance in enabling mitigation and adaptation. I became fascinated with the risk models used in insurance sectors and products such as catastrophe bonds.

Second, by dumb luck, I came across the podcast "Invested" by Phil and Daniela Town in 2023. This podcast is gold: it walked me through the entire Warren Buffett-style value investing philosophy in the form of a very engaging conversation. Soon enough, I had watched hours of Buffett videos on youtube and listened to a wide range of talks from prominent value investors like Charlie Munger, Mohnish Pabrai, Joel Greenblatt and Howard Marks. 

Armed with this new approach, I transitioned into a concentrated portfolio of 5-10 stocks with a time horizon of 5-10 years. I document my investing theses and portfolio on my blog Buy Rho Sell Pi.
