About Me

I am a secondary school educator with more than 20 years experience teaching math and science at all levels from grade 7 to 12 in Alberta. The majority of my experience has been in Indigenous communities, teaching mainly Indigenous youth. During this time, I have seen first-hand the importance of including the Indigenous perspective in learning activities. A few years ago, I was involved in the development of a community stewardship project co-created by the provincial government, the local Cree nation, and my school and district. The project was a digital learning and teaching resource specific to my community. It was this experience, along with working through a pandemic that led me to the creation of this venture.
